Bowhunter Archery

Bowhunter Archery offers outdoor archery sessions in the Balnagowan Woods near Nairn in the Scottish Highlands. All abilities are welcome and all visitors are welcome, please note that their activities do have minimum age requirements. Their sessions are led by their friendly team of qualified ArcheryGB instructors, qualified axe-throwing instructors and woodland activity leaders for bushcraft fun. Prices include full instruction, equipment and insurance.

They will teach you how to shoot Bowhunter style and then head off into the woodlands to see what can be found. Dinosaurs, dragons, zombies or the legendary haggis. Children must be 9 years old or over to take part and the sessions are also for adults. They can even host your child’s birthday party with a package from the age of 10 and another from the age of 12.

Their bushcraft sessions last for around 2.5 hours and you can take part from the age of 7. Their family sessions take place in the woods where you will build a shelter, go on a scavenger hunt and more. They have also recently added axe-throwing sessions. This is for anyone over the age of 12. The 1-hour instructor-led sessions include instruction in flying angels and axes and fun competitions.

Is there food and drink available?

Picnic tables are available and they are happy for you to bring your own food/drink.

Outdoor adventure activity centre with woodland archery, family bushcraft and axe throwing. There are portaloos.

What are the ticket prices?

Woodland archery 60 mins £16 pp, 90 mins £19.50 pp. Bushcraft £25 pp. Axe throwing £20 pp.

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
