Museum Overview

The Bristol Museum and Art Gallery are located in the centre of Bristol. Inside you can explore their collections of art, nature, archaeology, geology, history and more.

On the ground floor, you can discover Egyptian Mummies, wildlife of the South West, the Exhibition gallery and more. Then on the first floor, you can say hi to Alfred the Gorilla, enjoy the Romany wagon and learn all about dinosaurs, rocks and wildlife.

There are art galleries on the second floor with paintings, pottery, glass and more. Five to eleven-year-olds will love their fun interactive family area where you can find out about how animals, have adapted in amazing ways. There is a dinosaur activity area on the first floor and an under 5s area on the ground floor.
