British Motor Museum

The British Motor Museum is the world’s largest collection of historic British cars and is located near Warwick, in Warwickshire.

What is there to see at the British Motor Museum?

They have over 400 classic cars and interactive family activities. The museum tells the fascinating story of Britain’s motor industry, its designers, the factories, the workers, the cars, the publicity and the drivers.

At the museum, there are themed trails for the kids and plenty of touch-screen exhibits to keep them entertained. Children can understand how a car works in their interactive zone. They also have costumed guided tours that give the whole family an interesting insight into the British motor industry. There is also an outdoor play area.

The museum is laid out so that you can get up close to cars. There are a few cars that you can even get behind the wheel and pretend you are driving in the 1900’s. Just look out for the signs on the cars that tell you which ones you can jump in and have a go.

In the sports Car section of the displays, museum visitors young and old can become part of a 1960’s advertisement, having the chance to dress up in replica clothes and even wigs to take themselves back to this colourful era. Plus there are two tabletop interactives that give children the chance to play with models of Minis and Land Rovers over landscaped scenes.
