Brockhill Country Park
Brockhill Country Park is a nature area with a lake, meadows, wildlife, a playground and trails in Hythe, Kent. The cafe specialises in vegetarian and vegan food. Once part of the estate of a Norman manor, it is now a great family day out.
At the park, there are 2 waymarked paths to explore as well as picnic and play areas. You can explore Brockhill’s picturesque meadows and valley or take a walk around the lake. Make sure you take some duck-friendly food as there are usually plenty on the lake waiting to be fed. There’s plenty of other wildlife to spot including butterflies and green woodpeckers. Take a net as there is a lovely stream to paddle and fish in.
The play area has swings, climbing frames, monkey bars and more. It is mostly suited to children aged between 3 and 11 years old. Dotted around the park are 5 brass rubbings so take some paper and pencils with you. The park is also popular for geocaching, all you need is a smartphone and a sense of adventure.
