Brodick Castle Garden and Country Park
Brodick Castle Garden and Country Park is a National Trust for Scotland property located on the Isle of Arran, Scotland. It is situated outside the port of Brodick on the island that is in the Firth of Clyde.
What is there to do at Brodick Castle Garden?
There has been a fortress on the site since at least the fifth century. It has seen a long and varied past with most of what you see today dating back to the early 16th century but were refashioned in 1844. The castle is surrounded by mountains and is Britain’s only island country park.
In the castle, you can enjoy a relatively new, interactive visitor experience which includes a Victorian arcade, mood lighting and evocative sounds. All while looking around their collection of period furniture, silverware, porcelain, paintings and sporting trophies.
You can wander through the formal gardens via the Silver Garden trail and Plant Hunter’s walk. There are ponds, waterfalls and woodland trails where you will hopefully spot their red squirrels. Isle Be Wild is their fantastic adventure play area plus a relatively new Fairies and Legends trail. The playground has an area for toddlers, and younger children and another for older children. It features zip wires, high towers, bridges and jungle-style walkways.
