Brodie Castle is located in Brodie near Forres in the Scottish Highlands. Nestled in acres of gentle Moray countryside the rose-coloured castle is the ancestral home of the Brodie clan and had been such for 400 years. The property is now maintained by the National Trust for Scotland.

It is a magnificent turreted castle and inside you can enjoy guided tours and find out more about the Brodie family who was once one of Scotland’s most prominent families. The castle houses a magnificent collection of furniture, ceramics and artworks.

The Playful Garden is a highlight for families. It is home to a fascinating menagerie of characters that have been inspired by the castle’s quirky and colourful history including Scotland’s biggest bunny sculpture. Other features include unicorns, giant metal daffodils and a giant table with a chair, knife and fork. Plus a mini Brodie castle which is great for posing next to for photos. There are musical instruments and so much more to discover.

Is there food and drink available?

There is a cafe serving food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic outdoors.

What are the main things to do?

A historic picturesque turreted house you can visit plus gardens and lots of family-friendly fun sculptures and things to see. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

Free for members of the National Trust for Scotland. Adults £11, children £6.50, family tickets are available.
Prices are subject to change.

Is there parking?

Parking is free for members, but there is a small charge for non-members.

When are they open?

The castle has varied opening days and times, they are mostly closed over the winter. For up-to-date opening times and dates please visit their website.

Dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome on the estate but assistance dogs only please in the castle, Playful Garden and adventure playground.
