Camperdown Wildlife Centre
Camperdown Wildlife Centre is located in Camperdown Country Park near Dundee in Angus, Scotland. It is home to over 300 animals, with 50 different species. The centre contains mammals and birds with several reptiles. The pine marten, one of Britain’s rarest mammals can be seen at the centre. Other animals include macaws, lemurs, meerkats, snowy owls, golden eagles, otters, gibbons and more.
In the centre, there is the Bear Broch Visitor Centre which has a custom-made replica of an ancient Scottish stone dwelling. It is the only building type likely to have existed when bears last roamed Scotland. You can see the bears at play in their pool and there is a large viewing window. The dwelling also includes interesting artefacts and objects relating to the history of the animal. The bears are their biggest attraction.
They host various family-friendly events throughout the year. They can also host your child’s birthday party.
