Cardiff International White Water

Cardiff International White Water Centre is located in the International Sports Village in Cardiff, South Wales. It is home to the only white water rafting course in South Wales and it welcomes families to the venue.
Activities are available from the age of 6. On certain days of the week, their pumps that generate the white water are taken down a notch so that the rapids are more relaxed than normal. This means that children as young as 6 can take part in the popular family white water experience. Their rafts can hold a maximum of 6 people. Children must be confident in and around water.
You can also try family white water tubing. This is fun for all but this time participants must be at least 10 years old. Their qualified and competent guide will teach you safety down the rapids and how to get in and out of your tube. No experience is necessary but you must be able to swim. They also have mini rafts you can hire.
You can also try out stand-up paddleboarding on calmer waters and next to the white water run they have an air trail. Children can take part from 132cm and smaller children will need to be accompanied by an adult. There are a number of obstacles to tackle including a zip wire.
Children need to be 12 years old or over to take part in hotdogging. This is for two people in inflatable kayaks. It combines the best of both kayaking and rafting. You can also book kayaking and there is an indoor wave where you can practise surfing. They also have gorge walking in the nearby area from the age of 8.
