Carlyon Bay Beach
Carlyon Bay is a set of three beaches, located approximately 2 miles east of the town centre. The three beaches, are Crinnis, Short Horn in the middle, and Polgaver over to the east side.
Stretching almost two miles in length, the three sandy beaches, combine to create Carlyon Bay. Dogs are welcome during the winter months from October through to Easter, usually Good Friday. The beach is accessible via a set of steps or by walking downhill.
Car parking is available at the top of the steps and is free during winter/off-season. Car parking charges apply during the high seasons. There is also a bar on the beach where you can get refreshments, although most people tend to bring their own picnics.
