Castle Coole National Trust

The house is one of Ireland’s finest Neo-classical houses which is home to the Earls of Belmore. You can explore the house with its ornate interiors and uncover the stories of the family who lived here including the extensive servants’ world belowstairs.
The house is open to guided tours only which will help you learn more about the house and its occupants. Tours last for approximately one hour and take in all of the main rooms including the basement. The basement area is one of the most impressive that the National Trust cares for. You can head out on a walk and explore one of their two walking trails. Look out for the 18th-century Ice House and other historic features such as the Pump House, Grand Yard and more.
