Things to do at Castle Drogo
The castle was inspired by the rugged Dartmoor Tors that surround it and it sits high above the woodland of the Teign Gorge. In the grounds, there are over 1,000 acres to explore with many winding paths leading down to the gorge. There is a range of walks including a 1-mile walk full of dramatic views.
In the gardens, there are formal terraces, a Chapel garden and a small playhouse for the kids. The gardens were created over 100 years ago and the original design and layout remain today. You can explore inside the castle and see a variety of rooms with hidden treasures to discover.
