Catalyst Science Discovery Centre

The Catalyst Science Discovery Centre is located in Widnes, Cheshire. It features a host of interactive exhibits, reconstructed scenes and multi-media programs that stimulate the senses and bring a range of subjects to life. There are a great number of new hands-on exhibits that allow you to investigate science and technology. You can film in their TV studio, test a scarf shooter, make an animation or create a marble run.
There are two teaching spaces that host a range of workshops and activities for pupils from 8 years and over. In the theatre, they also host a range of science talks and shows. You can investigate the development of the chemical industry from ancient times up to the 1940s with the aid of fascinating historical, objects, life-like reconstructions, computer quizzes and more.
There is also a glass-walled, rooftop observatory gallery. This enjoys panoramic views, hands-on exhibits and an extensive photographic collection.
