Chaddesden Park
Chaddesden Park in Derbyshire is a grassy park dating back to the 18th Century. It has a good range of sporting facilities, a play area and a splash pad that is open in the summer. The park has been presented with several Green Flag awards over the years.
Things to do at Chaddesden Park
The park is around 24 hectares in size and has many sporting and recreational facilities set within mature and attractive parkland. The park was once part of Chaddesden Hall, sadly the hall was demolished. All that remains are the original Yew and Cedar trees.
There is a play area for the kids plus in the summer a fun splash pad (make sure you take a change of clothes). If it’s not open there is also a brook to play in, which is a popular place to have a picnic. The park has a nature area which is home to a wide variety of wild animals.
sports facilities at Chaddesden Park include a BMX track, bowling greens, a cricket pitch and an orienteering course. Plus football pitches, 5-a-side football, crown green bowling and sports courts.
