Chantry Park
Chantry Park is located in Ipswich, Suffolk. It is situated west of the town centre and it is the largest park in Ipswich extending to over 124 acres.
The park was opened to the public in 1928 and it was designated a conservation area in 2005. There are two children’s play areas, a walled garden and a bowling green. They also host a number of events plus Wildlife and Education ranger sessions.
There are a variety of habitats in the park including ponds, grassland, woodland and more. The park is Grade II listed and contains some Grade II listed structures. Around the park, there are 4 colour-coded walks. These walks aim to show you the best features of the park. Walks range from 13 minutes up to around 36 minutes. A walk around the perimeter takes 40 minutes.
