Chedworth Roman Villa
Chedworth Roman Villa is a scheduled monument located near Chedworth, Gloucestershire. It is one of the largest and most elaborate Roman Villas that have so far been discovered in Britain and has had one of the latest occupations beyond the Roman period.
You will be able to see the remains of one of Roman Britain’s grandest villas. Plus impressive in-situ mosaics, two bath-houses and a water shrine. There is also a museum on-site with displays full of finds and objects that have been discovered at the villa. It is an active archaeological site with new discoveries being made.
There are picnic benches and seating where you can unwind in the tranquil setting and enjoy views of the Cotswold countryside. It is a great place for spotting wildlife including some rare Roman snails, butterflies, birds and more.
