Chichester Ship Canal

The Chichester Ship Canal can be found on Canal Wharf in Chichester, Sussex. They have a small narrowboat with daily canal cruises. The canal runs 4 miles from the Basin to the harbour at Birdham and it is a leisure waterway that links Chichester to the sea. They have two canal boats and they offer both scheduled and charter trips throughout the year.
In the Kingfisher canal boat, they operate up to four scheduled trips a day from spring to autumn. You can enjoy a relaxing 75-minute trip with a friendly crew who will point out places of interest along the route and the local wildlife. They also run themed cruises. Their other canal boat is used for their private charters.
You can also hire a rowing boat from them. A leisurely row from Chichester to Donnington and back will take about two hours. Their rowing boats can seat up to 4 adults or 2/3 adults with 2 small children. Plus you can enjoy a walk on the towpath.
