Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway
The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway is located in Chinnor, Oxfordshire. It is a preserved standard gauge heritage railway which runs along the foot of the Chilterns escarpment. They have all-day Rover tickets which you can purchase or look out for a number of special events, that they hold over the year.
The branch line was first opened in 1872 and closed as a regular passenger line in 1957. Trains start from their Chinnor station and travel along a seven-and-a-half-mile round trip. You will enjoy some wonderful views along the line and a stop at Princes Risborough station with the opportunity to stretch your legs.
From the Chinnor station, you can enjoy a gentle circular walk which includes a picnic area. Or you can visit the Old Kiln Lakes children’s playground in Chinnor which is just a short walk away from the station.
