City Airport and Heliport
City Airport and Heliport is an airport in Barton-upon-Irwell, Salford, Greater Manchester. As well as being a general aviation facility in the local area they are also open to the general public to visit for the day.
It is a great place to bring the kids and soak up the aviation atmosphere. They offer a unique location where all ages can safely watch aircraft take off and land. You can enjoy a wide variety of regular events plus there is a picnic area, a children’s play zone and a grass viewing area.
The play zone features swings, an aeroplane ride-on and a specially designed ‘control tower’ with climbing nets, a fireman’s pole and a slide. It is suitable for children from the age of 3.
