Clarence Pier

Clarence Pier is an amusement pier located in Portsmouth, Hampshire. It is situated next to Southsea Hoverport and unlike most seaside piers it doesn’t extend very far out to sea, instead, it goes along the coast. It is one of the largest amusement parks on the South Coast and is fun for all the family with all manner of amusements, rides and activities. Admission to the park is free and then you can ride their rides by way of purchase of ride tokens or wristbands.

There are then a number of rides including rollercoasters with a minimum height of 1.2 metres, a log flume, Waltzers and Dodgems. Plus a merry-go-round, flying Dumbos, hot air balloons and more. Most of their rides have a height restriction. Indoors is their large entertainment centre with cuddly toy grabbers, 2 penny machines, the latest in interactive video games and simulators and a cash casino.

What are the ticket prices?

Entrance is free. The amusements are then pay-as-you-play. An all-day ride wristband costs £24 pp, or £21.60 online. Other pricing options are available.

Dog friendly?

Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the amusement park, as long as they are kept on a lead. However, dogs are not allowed in our arcades except guide dogs
