Cleethorpes Beach
Like the vast majority of the beaches, in Lincolnshire Cleethorpes Beach has a wonderful stretch of golden sand. It’s certainly not as busy nor as touristy as Skegness but there are still a few of your regular seaside attractions. These include donkey rides, a couple of rides and a few amusements. Plus of course some fantastic fish and chips.
Cleethorpes even has a pier. It’s a relatively short pier and its only attraction is a restaurant but what a view! Cleethorpes also has a fantastic paddling pool with a splash area and a boating lake. You can take the train from the promenade down to the south of Cleethorpes. Find out more here about Cleethorpes Coast Light railway.
Cleethorpes is also famous for its Lollipop land train. So named because any child travelling on the train is given a lollipop. The Lollipop train takes you from the North Promenade and links up with the light railway near the leisure centre.
