Cliffe Castle Museum and Park

The Cliffe Castle Museum is located in Cliffe Park in Keighley, West Yorkshire. It is a local heritage museum that opened in the grand Victorian, neo-Gothic Cliffe Castle in 1959.
Things to do at Cliffe Castle Museum and Park
The castle was originally the home of Victorian millionaire and textile manufacturer Henry Isaac Butterfield. The completed house was a showpiece of international art and French decoration, much of which you can still see today.
In recent years the museum has undergone a major restoration. You can now see restored Victorian rooms with furniture, paintings and decorative art. There are special museum galleries with displays covering natural history, archaeology and social history. There are some internationally important displays of stained glass by Morris and Co and the castle hosts changing exhibitions.
The park has formal and ornamental gardens surrounding the house. There is a small woodland, play area, aviary, small animal house, glasshouse, water features, cafe and a bandstand.
