Cockington Court is situated near Torquay in Devon. Today it offers a home to a variety of highly skilled artists and craft workers, many of whom can be seen in their studios demonstrating. There are also gardens to explore with a play area.

What can you do at Cockington Court?

Located a mile away from the seafront it is a paradise for walkers, gardeners, nature lovers and families. The Stable Yard is where you can see their skilled, contemporary artists and craft makers at work. You can also purchase many of their items. You can see their glass blowers create stunning works of art and hear the blacksmith clinking away in the forge.

There is plenty of open space outdoors to explore with a walled art garden, Tudor rose garden, contemporary outdoor art gallery and a popular children’s play area. They also run a number of annual events, including a sculpture trail, outdoor theatre performances and special themed events.

If you venture out a little further you can have a wander through the picturesque lanes that surround Cockington Court with a chocolate-box village full of thatched cottages, gift shops, tearooms, the village pub and the church. You can also book in advance a horse and carriage ride around the village (weather permitting).
