Cogges Manor Farm

Cogges Manor Farm is a living museum set in a manor house and its grounds. Located near Witney in Oxfordshire there are daily demonstrations, tours, animal feeding and a play area. The farm is a heritage centre and it is operated by a charitable trust.

What is there to do at Cogges Manor Farm?

‘Set on 17 acres with a variety of farm animals. You can pick up a pot of vegetables from reception and have fun feeding their animals. They also have ‘meet the animals’ sessions every weekend and bank holiday. Animals include goats, sheep, pigs, ducks and chickens.

It is a unique venue with a fascinating story set around a manor house and farm buildings, a walled garden and an orchard. You can take welly walks around the island woodland and moat by the River Windrush. You can explore inside the house and see the Victorian kitchen. Kids can dress up in historical costumes plus there is a fun adventure play area with a zip wire, sandpit, outdoor games and things to climb on. They also have a mini soft play area for younger children.

Cogges has featured in a number of films and TV shows and was the location for Yew Tree Farm in Downtown Abbey. They hold a number of annual events and there are usually extra activities during the school holidays.

Is there food and drink available?

There is Cogges Kitchen which sells hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.

What are the main things to do?

Farm park/museum with animals you can feed and stroke, a manor house you can look around, a play area and other things to play with. There are toilets and a cafe.

What are the ticket prices?

An adult ticket without gift aid costs £6.81, children 3-16 are £4.45 and children aged under 3 are free. Other pricing options including family tickets and season passes are available.
