College Lake Nature Reserve
College Lake Nature Reserve is located near Tring in Hertfordshire. It is a 65-acre reserve situated in a former chalk quarry and is one of the flagship reserves in the area.
It is an outstanding haven for wildlife and nature lovers of all ages have easy access to an amazing range of wild plants and animals. There is an eco visitor centre which enjoys some stunning views of the lakes. There are many hides dotted around the site where you can spot many of the visiting water birds.
There is a circular wildlife walk of two miles, you just need to follow the lapwing waymarkers. You can explore the world of bees in the bee centre and learn more about old farming methods that are still practised at the reserve. They run a variety of seasonal guided walks and family fun days.
