Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
Combe Martin Wildlife Park is located in the village of the same name near Ilfracombe. Make sure you pick up a map and park guide with the timetable for feeding, talk and showtimes. There are normally lots on including meerkat encounters, sea lion shows, lion talks and more.
Things to do at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
The wildlife park is set on a hillside and works its way downwards, it can be quite steep in places. There is a wallaby enclosure where you can walk amongst them. Other animals, at the park also include penguins, lemurs, gibbons, wolves and many more. There is also a recently refurbished tropical house.
On the winding path, you will find many dinosaurs hiding in the trees. Some of them roar and move and each has its own information panels. They even have a dinosaur show with a huge T-Rex and other dinosaurs which wake up on the hour and some even squirt water. Plus a mini dinosaur museum. There is often an animal antics encounter where you can stroke some of the animals.
Indoors there is a gigantic Dinosaurus soft play zone. They also have a Dino express train but be prepared to be splashed. There is an additional charge for the train of £1 per person. “Inspired by an attraction in one of the theme parks in America, this great ride resembles a gigantic Earthquake! Scream as seven and a half thousand (yes! 7,500) gallons of water hurtle towards you and your fellow passengers!”
They also have a tomb of the Pharaoh’s attraction where you can see recreated hieroglyphics and paintings found in some of Egypt’s most famous discovered tombs. Animal experiences are also available at an additional cost.

There is a couple of cafes on-site serving hot and cold food and drinks. You are welcome to picnic outside.
What are the main things to do?
A great variety of animals, with daily shows, talks and feeding times for some of them. A trail with animated dinosaurs and dinosaur ‘show’ on the hour. Dino train, huge indoor soft play, the tomb of the Pharaoh’s attraction. There are toilets and cafes.
What are the ticket prices?
If you purchase your tickets 48 hours online in advance you will receive a discounted price of around £12-13.00. Children under 3 are free.

When are they open?
Combe Martin Wildlife Park is open from mid-March until early November. The soft play area is open in the winter at a reduced admission price as the zoo is shut. For up-to-date opening times and dates please follow this link.
