Things to do at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur park review
Combe Martin wildlife park is located in the village of the same name near Ilfracombe. Make sure you pick up a map and park guide with the timetable for feeding, talk and showtimes. There is normally lots on including meerkat encounters, sealion shows, lion talks and more.
The wildlife park is set on a hillside and works its way downwards, it can be quite steep in places. There is a wallaby enclosure where you can walk amongst them. Other animals at the park also include penguins, lemurs, gibbons, wolves and many more. There is also a recently refurbished tropical house.
On the winding path, you will find many dinosaurs hiding in the trees. Some of them roar and move and each has its own information panels. They even have a dinosaur show with a huge T-Rex and other dinosaurs which wake up on the hour and some even squirt water. Plus a mini dinosaur museum. There is often an animal antics encounter where you can stroke some of the animals.
Indoors there is a gigantic Dinosaurus soft play zone. They also have a Dino express train but be prepared to be splashed. There is an additional charge for the train of £1 per person. “Inspired by an attraction in one of the theme parks in America, this great ride resembles a gigantic Earthquake! Scream as seven and a half thousand (yes! 7,500) gallons of water hurtle towards you and your fellow passengers!”
They also have a tomb of the Pharaoh’s attraction where you can see recreated hieroglyphics and paintings found in some of Egypt’s most famous discovered tombs. Animal experiences are also available at an additional cost.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
