Corfe Castle Model Village
Corfe Castle Model Village is located in Corfe Castle, near Wareham, Dorset. The model village has been open to the public since 1966.
The model village is a 1/20th scale model of Corfe Castle and the village as it was back in 1646. You can see how it would have looked prior to its destruction by Oliver Cromwell’s troops during the English Civil War. It is set in an acre of landscaped gardens.
During your visit, you will also be able to see an enchanted Fairy garden, a Fossil corner and there are giant games for all the family. There is a wildlife garden with a hide and bird feeding station and The Potting Shed Miniature Museum. In the model village, you can spot life-size Civil War soldiers and a village punishment area with working stocks and pillories.
