Craigievar Castle

Craigievar Castle is a National Trust for Scotland property in Alford, Aberdeenshire. It is a 17th-century castle that is also known as the Pink Castle which is said to be the inspiration for Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle.
Inside the castle, you can see an impressive collection of artefacts, weapons, armour and art including works by Raeburn. You will be able to experience an authentic tour of the castle, with no artificial lighting beyond the ground floor. Access to the castle is by guided tour only.
Outside you can explore the gardens and the woodland trails, make sure you keep an eye open for the rare pine marten that lives in the woods. The woodland trail walk takes around 30-45 minutes and is an easy to moderate walk with some hills and unsurfaced paths.
