Things to do at Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park review

The Cutteslowe and Sunnymead Park is Oxford’s largest park which is located north of the city. It was established in 1936 and has a variety of facilities.

The park is split with the old Cutteslow park and Sunnymead park. The two sections are now joined by a bridge and are around 42 hectares in size. The park is made up of grassed areas, flowerbeds, woodland and a nature reserve.

At the park, you will find three children’s play areas, crazy golf, a duck pond, a skate park and a beach. Plus volleyball and tennis courts. Another highlight to the park is the kid’s splash park which usually opens the first May Bank holiday of the year.

Cutteslowe Park Miniature railway offers steam train rides through some of the park. There are two tracks and their trains are pulled by either steam or diesel engines. The trains run through the spring and summer throughout most afternoons subject to the weather and availability. Tickets are just £1.25 and children under 2 are free, .
