Things to do at Dewa Roman Experience

You can feel the past come to life with a range of hands-on activities and incredible interactive displays. 2000 years of history will pass before your eyes using a fusion of ancient archaeological remains and cutting-edge technology.

Designed for all ages the experience is filled with stories from across the empire. Inside you will board their ship to travel back in time to the port of Roman Chester. When you enter the fortress you will find your identity and occupation, collect your pay and begin your life as a Roman.

You will then wander the streets where you will learn all about housing, soldiers, hygiene and food through their hands-on exhibits. There is even an amphitheatre where you can learn about the gladiators who once fought in them.

There is a light show and open archaeological trenches which showcase the abundance of physical historical remains. In the summer you can even take part in Roman Soldier School which takes place twice a week.
