Museum Overview
Dr Jenners House, formerly known as the Edward Jenner Museum is located in the historic market town of Berkeley, Gloucestershire. It is housed in a grade II* listed building called the Chantry. Edward Jenner was a physician, surgeon and the pioneer of the smallpox vaccination.
Today you can see Jenner’s study and explore his garden. You can stand in the Temple of Vaccina where he once vaccinated the people of Berkeley free of charge.
His work and legacy can be seen through artefacts and displays including his interests in natural history, fossil hunting, museum poetry and hot-air ballooning. There is an acre of grounds to explore.

Dog friendly?
Only assistance dogs are permitted indoors. Well-behaved dogs on short leads can visit the garden only.
