Dragon Archery is North Devon’s premier archery activity centre and is located at Brandis Corner near Holsworthy. Children can take part from the age of 12.
Things to do at Dragon Archery
Located in the picturesque countryside it is a great place to spend a morning or afternoon learning the ancient skill of archery under expert tuition and supervision. They provide all the equipment required, the bows, the arrows and the safety equipment. They also have full public liability insurance.
They have 5 ranges at the centre, four of them are themed. There is the training range where each activity session begins. Here you will be taught how to shoot a bow in a traditional way. There are then the four themed ranges. The Jurassic range takes you back to the dawn of time where you will defeat a pack of hungry velociraptors and other themed targets. There is a Fantasy range where fully armoured orcs and rabid wolves are going for the kill.
The Agincourt range takes you back to the year 1415 and the battle of Agincourt. French knights are advancing and your shooting will decide which side is victorious. The fourth range is the Dragonslayer. This is the focal point of the whole activity. Will you be able to hold your nerve and slay the great red dragon to take your place in the pantheon of Dragonslayers?
