Draycote Water Country Park is located near Rugby, Warwickshire. It is a park popular with visitors and there is a reservoir, watersports, walking, cycling and there is a children’s playground.

What is there to do at Draycote Water?

The reservoir is 240 hectares in size and it supplies drinking water to Rugby and Coventry. There is a flat five-mile tarmac pavement around the reservoir which is great for enjoying a leisurely walk or bike ride. The 24-acre park provides plenty of space to play games and enjoy the outdoors.

Make sure you walk up Hensborough Hill as there are some spectacular views from the top and it is a great place for a picnic. The reservoir is popular with many species of birds and they have a bird hide to help you spot some of them.

Watersports are available on the reservoir including windsurfing and sailing. You can also try a spot of fishing. There are charges for both of these activities.

Dog friendly?

Dogs are not permitted on the reservoir perimeter path. However, they are allowed on the meadow at the country park behind the Visitor centre.
