Dyffryn Gardens

Dyffryn Gardens

Dyffryn Gardens is located in the area of Dyffryn near Cardiff, South Wales. It is run by the National Trust and they have a unique collection of plants from all over the world.

Dyffryn is a restoration garden which means that when the garden has a period without being worked on the impact is more dramatic than a fully restored garden. There may be areas that are open whereas others are closed and full of weeds. There are always plenty of gardens open though.

The Log Stack is now open for families to enjoy. This is full of cut-down logs that you can play on. There is also a smaller new wild play area by the visitor centre. It is a smaller version of the Log Stack with younger children in mind.

There is a lovely The Tiger who came to Tea exhibition that runs on and off at Dyffryn Gardens. They also have an outdoor trail. This trail and exhibition isn’t always on so check before visiting. They also host other events, such as adventure cinema.
