Eddie Irvine Sports
Eddie Irvine Sports is a centre for a range of activities which is owned by the Formula One racing driver Eddie Irvine. It is located in Bangor, County Down. There is one of Ireland’s longest indoor karting circuits with twists, turns and high-speed straights. Children must be at least 8 years old to take part and there is a height restriction of 130 cm. They run a number of different sessions.
They also have sports Virtual Reality Racing Simulators. You will sit in a real-life racing seat and grasping a Ferrari Formula One steering wheel you will race in a virtual environment that has to be seen to be believed. Thunderpark is the venue’s 14,000-square-foot action sports facility. This is perfect for BMXs, skates, inline-skating, scooters and more. It has been designed for fun and training with expert tuition and equipment for hire. This is suitable for children from the age of 6.
The venue has six indoor football pitches which have up to 7-a-side capacity. They can also host other sports and fitness classes on their pitches. Other activities include a golf simulator, snooker, pool and table tennis tables plus laser combat and tag archery.
