Ely Cathedral Overview

Pre-booking is advised if you want to join one of their tours. They offer tours of the Octagon Tower, West Tower and Ground Floor plus Monastic Tours and Discovery tours. Tours will give you a lot more in-depth knowledge of the cathedral than a self-led tour.

The cathedral offers a number of children’s trails. These are great fun and engaging for kids. There is plenty to see and do during your visit. You can climb the world-famous Octagon or go 66m to the top of the West tower.
