Located in the Buttermarket Shopping Centre in Ipswich, Suffolk is the Empire Cinema. It has 14 new state-of-the-art cinema screens. They show the latest movies for young and old plus old classics and more. Other facilities in the centre include shops and restaurants. This cinema even has the option to upgrade to luxury recliners or one of their double sofas.

This cinema shows some films in 3D where the action reaches right out to your cinema seat. Their reusable 3D glasses can be purchased for £1 and can be used on future visits to Empire Cinemas. They also show films in 2D. Two of their screens show IMPACT films with a spectacular screen, sensational sound and superb seating. Some films are even shown using D-Box. Your seat is synchronised to the film and it will mimic movements and vibrations on screen.

At this cinema, you can purchase drinks and snacks for the film. Movies for Empire Juniors are available at this location which are discounted family-friendly film screenings.
