Exciting Escapes Portsmouth
Exciting Escapes is located in the North End of Portsmouth in Hampshire. It is an hour-long adventure with your family and friends where you can work together to escape your room. You play as a team and in 60 minutes you have to find clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges to complete your mission.
If you’re looking for something fun, different and enjoyably challenging then this is for you. No previous experience with escape rooms is necessary as their team will guide you through the game and be on hand to help if you need it.
At the Portsmouth venue, they have 6 different escape rooms. You can even ‘pair’ against another team and race together in two rooms to see who will finish first. They also have a fancy dress wardrobe if you feel like completely going with the theming. If you escape in time you even get to receive a winning fridge magnet.
Rooms include Danger on the Dancefloor which is set in 1998 at the local school disco. However, a mix-up at the nearby naval base means the ‘secret Santa’ gift-giving is about to go very wrong. You have to swap the gifts and dance your way out before the kids arrive and you are discovered. Another room is Dark Deeds and Groceries which is set in 1928. Illicit gambling and three dead agents lead you to a grocery store but something doesn’t smell right. You need to locate evidence that links the death of the three agents before you join them.
Other rooms include Murder and the Movies, The Voices We Hear and Millennium Meltdown. The puzzles are recommended for children around the age of 10 and over although younger children are welcome. They may find some of the puzzles and challenges difficult to understand but the adults are there to help.
