Faskally Forest

Faskally Forest

Faskally Forest is located near Pitlochry in Perthshire. It is also known as Faskally Woods and it is well known for its radiant colours during the autumn.

The woodland was created in the 19th century and today you can explore the rich mix of tree species along Forester’s trail or take in the easy-access Dunmore trail around the loch. Water lilies bloom in the summer and they are a haven for wildlife including kingfishers, herons and goldeneye ducks.

Today the forest is around 62 acres in size and the paths are mostly gentle and easy. They host some special events, including the spectacular Enchanted Forest Illuminations that take place every autumn.
