Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park
Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park is located in Fingringhoe in Essex. It is a 48.6-hectare nature reserve which is managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust and is a site of Special Scientific Interest which is one of the finest nature reserves in the country.
The reserve overlooks the Colne Estuary and is the perfect place to enjoy a real sense of peace and quiet. The reserve trails lead you through the various habitats including woodland, scrub, heathland and past ponds. Please note that access to the beach is not permitted. Due to the presence of adders on site please stick to the paths and wear suitable footwear.
They offer a diary of family-friendly events and they can even host birthday parties. They run a weekly under 5s nature tots group. Around the site, there are 9 hides to help you spot the abundant wildlife.
