Galloway Activity Centre
The Galloway Activity Centre is a waterside resort with a water park and laser tag located on Loch Ken near Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway. It occupies a stunning location on the banks of the loch in the heart of a UNESCO area. Their team of expert adventure instructors specialise in providing exciting and family-friendly days out. You can choose from popular short taster sessions to a full day of activities. They also offer certified courses, adventure holidays and kids’ summer camps.
There are a range of land and water-based activities on offer. Laser tag is run in 1.5-hour sessions and most activities are suitable for 8-year-olds upwards. Also on land, you can have a go at archery, most children over 6 will enjoy this activity. Plus they offer a climbing tower, mountain biking and a fun water slide which goes down one of their hills. They have wetsuits to suit ages 4 years and up (child size dependent).
On the water, you can try your hand at sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. They also have an inflatable water park. There are up to 5 inflatables on the loch where you can bounce, slide and jump. Children can take part from the age of 10 and they must be able to swim.
