Leisure Centre Overview

The GL1 Leisure Centre is located in the centre of Gloucester. It is a modern centre with main and learner swimming pools, a gym, fitness studio, sports hall and a spa facility.

There are actually 4 swimming pools on-site and they offer a variety of sessions including swimming lessons. For kids, there is a children’s fun pool with a slide, a bubble seat and water jets which are aimed at children under the age of 5.

The Barton Pool is their 25-metre competition pool which when not in use for competitions is open to the general public. The Twyver pool is also 25 metres in length and is perfect for lane swimming and specialist sessions. Elver Pool is a shallower pool where they have most of their children’s swimming lessons the Tad Pool is where all the fun happens. They also run fun sessions with a large inflatable.

Toddler World is their play area that they run in the sports hall. This is run every Tuesday and Friday morning. They can even host your child’s birthday party. Another fun thing to do at the centre is Lunar City. This is a large inflatable area with a crater mountain, an assault course, a dedicated toddler area and more. Sessions run at weekends and Lunar Tots sessions on Monday and Saturday during term time.

What are the ticket prices?

Swimming adults £4.95 each, 15 and under £4.95 and under 5s £2.50. Toddler World £4.50 per child, £1.50 for under 1s. Lunar City all ages 4+ £7.50 pp, under 4s £5.50 pp.
