Glen Gardens Filey

Glen Gardens can be found on the south side of Filey, North Yorkshire. It’s a relatively small park but during the summer months, there is plenty to do without spending a lot of money. It is also just a short walk to the beach, the south beach is sandy and the tide doesn’t tend to come in as far as the north beach.

What can you do at Glen Gardens Filey?

Glen Gardens were built in the 1830s and were originally part of the estate of Ravine Hall. The hall no longer exists and a cafe now stands in the same spot that the hall used to be.

There is a playground with a few pieces of equipment with something to suit most ages. Next to the cafe is where you will find the rest of the park’s attractions. These are usually open during the summer holidays and for a few other times of the year. All the attractions are great value for money.

There are 16 mini-golf holes and they are all very short with an obstacle on most of the holes. The main challenge was trying to put the golf ball down without it rolling away. It was all good fun! They have electric coin-operated motorbikes for the kids. There is a small man-made water area where you can rent a pedalo and there are trampolines.

All attractions have a low ticket price to use.

When are they open?

The park is open all year round 24/7. The facilities usually open around 10 am and close around 5 pm. These are seasonal and not open all year round.

Dog friendly?

Dogs are welcome on a lead.

Are they accessible?

Most of the paths are accessible for wheelchairs or pushchairs. I did not notice a baby change or a disabled toilet.
