Glenarm Castle
Glenarm Castle is located in Glenarm, County Antrim. It is the ancestral home of the Earl of Antrim and there is a variety of family-friendly things to see and do.
What is there to do at Glenarm Castle?
You are able to look around the castle via one of their guided tours which are available on selected dates throughout the year. You will find out more about the history of the castle and see inside rooms such as the drawing room, dining room, its striking hall, the blue room and more.
Outdoors there is a walled garden that you can explore which hosts a wonderful annual Tulip festival. You can also enjoy a woodland walk where you may be lucky enough to spot a red squirrel and other wildlife. Look out for Percy the Park Keeper trail with things to spot along the way. Indoors there is the Coach House Museum where you can see a display of some of Lord Antrim’s vintage cars. Plus there is the Antrim McDonnell Heritage Centre where you can learn more about the history and stories of Glenarm.
For children, there is their Mini Land Rover Experience where they can take control of the driving seat. Children can take part from the age of 3 and there is a maximum height of 150cm. The driving experience lasts for 45 minutes and includes a 15-minute safety briefing. These are available by booking in advance, subject to availability walk-ins may be available.
