Things to do at Go Ape Aberdeen review
Go Ape at Aberdeen in Aberdeenshire, Scotland is the first-ever of their high ropes courses to contain a zip wire that whizzes over a gorge. It is nestled in the picturesque grounds of a 16th-century castle. There are two challenges including The Treetop Challenge and the Zip Line Experience.
Treetop Challenge – Get your heart racing as you speed up the Apple Picker’s Ladder to access the higher platforms before you plunge down from the treetops on the Tarzan Swing. The longest zip wire is 125 metres. The challenge takes 2 to 3 hours to navigate your way around. There is a minimum age of 10 years and a minimum height of 1.4m.
Zip Line Experience – Experience 5 epic zip wire rides of up to 100 metres long including their infamous skateboard zip. There is a minimum age of 10 years and a minimum height of 1.4m. Duration 1-2 hours.
During the darker months, they also offer Sundown Sessions which are worth checking out. Duration times including safety briefings. Once you’ve had your treetop fun you can explore the 16th-century tower house with its intricate maze of tunnels, towers and painted ceilings. There are a number of walks with different difficulty ratings. Plus there is a Wild Wood Adventure Play area (this is £3 per child, members of National Trust for Scotland are free).
