Gortin Glen Forest Park
The Gortin Glen Forest Park is located around 6 miles from Omagh in County Tyrone. It is a family-friendly outdoor facility with a play park, trim trail and over 10km of walking trails plus a 6km scenic drive.
Things to do at Gortin Glen Forest Park
There is a relatively new state-of-the-art play park with a great range of equipment suitable for toddlers to teens, with much of the equipment accessible to children with disabilities. There are swings, roundabouts, climbing frames, springers, trampolines, climbing nets and more.
The park also has a range of red and blue mountain bike trails which enjoy some stunning views over the Sperrin mountains. There are also five way-marked walking trails of various lengths. You can download a walking guide from their website. The park has a fun giant wooden sculpture and you may even spot some deer in their enclosed deer park.
You can also explore the park via their scenic drive which has a number of vista parks where vehicles can pull over and enjoy the magnificent scenery. There is also a bike uplift and hire service available via Camp Base Adventures.
