Great Cockcrow Railway
The Great Cockcrow Railway is a 7+1/4 in gauge miniature railway located near Chertsey in Surrey. It isn’t a large attraction but a lovely place for families especially those with younger kids.
Please note – due to safety reasons children under 2 years cannot travel on their trains. The railway opens on Sunday afternoons from May to October plus Wednesday afternoons during August and May Bank holidays.
The trains run on two routes – red or green. The red route runs from Hardwick and goes to Cockcrow Hill where the train stops for the engine to turn round. On the way back the train takes an extra loop to bring you back along the Jungle line….watch out for wild animals. The green route is a non-stop route out over the level crossing and back round. Both routers are about 1 1/4 miles in length and both go through the tunnel.
