Harewood House

Harewood House

Harewood House is a country house in Harewood near Leeds, West Yorkshire. The house was built in the late 18th Century and there is more than enough to spend a few hours there.

What is there to do at Harewood House?

The grounds at Harewood are especially lovely with plenty to do. There is a large adventure playground that stretches back further than it first looks. After this, there are gardens with a wonderfully landscaped Himalayan garden with stepping stones, a waterfall and a Buddha statue.

A bit further around you will find some lovely walled gardens which have calming music playing. In the summer there are often boat rides around the lake and also a boat ferry to take you from the animal park to the walled gardens.

You can also look around the house at Harewood. There are over 12 staterooms that you can see which are still very much decorated and dressed how they would have looked back when the house was built. There are also some lovely gardens in front of the house.

There is also a free shuttle service to take you from the adventure playground up to the house. (this is not always running). They also host various events, throughout the year.
