Heaton Park

Heaton Park is located off Middleton Road in Manchester. It is a public park which covers an area of over 600 acres. It has an amazing new play area and lots of other family-friendly things to do. There are two play areas, one close to the Hall and Farm Centre and the other is Lakeside Adventure by the boating lake. This is their newest play area with swings, slides, tree houses, balancing logs and in-ground trampolines. There is accessible play equipment.

You can enjoy a walk around the park with many routes available. There is the opportunity to hire rowing boats and pedalos from April until the end of October. Plus a free animal centre located in the old stables. You can see goats, pigs, rabbits and more. Petting and feeding their animals is not permitted.

Also in the park, there is a Tramway museum which offers tram rides. They are open for rides most Sundays and bank holidays from early April until the end of October. Tickets are £2 for adults, children £1 and under 5s are free. Rides on the trams are £5 all day for an adult and children £2.50.
