Hereford Museum and Art Gallery
Museum Overview
Hereford Museum and Art Gallery are located in the centre of Hereford. The museum is housed in a Victorian Gothic building with a range of artefacts and works of art.
The exterior of the building has changed very little whereas inside the museum and gallery have kept up with the times. It is full of interesting local history and there are interactive elements for all the family. The exhibits highlight the local culture of Herefordshire, its heritage and the natural environment.
There are lots to see including a hive of live bees, a two-headed calf, a two-metre-long fish and lots of swords plus lots more. The gallery is home to works by local artists including a promising young artist Brian Hatton who died in the First World War. The museum regularly features touring exhibitions.
